About Dead Roads

“Dead Roads”, the title derived from the book by William Boroughs, followed a series of visits the artist took to the desert areas Anza Borrego, Death Valley, Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, The McIntyre Ranch, and Joshua Tree National Park. Each of the five diptychs depict a landscape scene on the left and a desert road on the right. A poem the artist wrote for each painting, is displayed on an engraved armature to the side of each panel. This work was shown in Montréal at the Galerie Chantal Boulanger.
